Membership is important to show your support for the Missouri OHV community. You show you are dedicated to keeping and expanding riding areas to help guarantee that there are legal, friendly places to enjoy OHV's.
How would you know if a law was introduced that would close down or limit riding in your favorite riding area due to an environmental extremist groups lobbying? Who is working to strengthen laws protecting landowners and event promoters from liability from OHV related events? Do you think that more landowners would be willing to open their land to events/ rides if there was statewide protection? Who is in contact with the Missouri DNR and US Forestry Service to keep a dialog open, that Missourians want and need places to ride? Who is working to ensure that a more appropriate amount Recreation Trails Fund monies given to Missouri from the Federal Gas tax will start being used for motorized trails.
Missouri OHV Alliance is the answer. MOHVA, can remain so, only if it has support of all aspects of the OHV community such as dealers (wouldn't it have been nice to know about how the 2009 lead ban would affect youth ATV's before it became law?), and users (Do you know there can be no more new trails on public land in Missouri due to a law advocated by environmentalist groups?).
